Telling the Tale
I've
always been fascinated with stories: how we use them to make
sense of our lives as well as to relate to one another and find
common ground.
That's why I am a writer and photographer. I love telling the stories of people who reach beyond themselves, who are passionate about what they do.
Plus,
there are some paths that I just love to follow: hiking through
the foothills to
watch the stars come out late in autumn or wandering along the
edge of a barrier island while an approaching storm whips the surf around.
Scoop a shell or shark's tooth out of the sand and I'll craft
you a tale around it. It's what I do.
Hiking,
stargazing, and scribbling in my sketch pad - that's my story.
What's yours? Walk me through your favorite places - I bet we
can find a tale to be told therein.

A baccalaureate in chemistry and graduate
schooling in public health keep me disciplined, grounded in
what can be observed, measured, and compared - above all, never
satisfied with superficial explanations.
