Travel photography

I rarely travel without at least one of my Nikon bodies and a few lenses. At minimum, I'll pick up a few nice endpaper or stock shots. If I can bring home a nice photo essay or find myself inspired to pen a full travel piece on the trip, so much the better.

Charleston

Okay, so I didn't have to travel far for this, just to the downtown historic district. This set was taken in summertime, when the livin' is easy (though Charleston is abundant with brilliant colors and historic architecture any time of year).

Arizona

I gathered this collection of pictures in an early summer run from red rock country in Sedona to the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest in the East and the Grand Canyon to the West. Suffice to say, I logged a lot of miles on the desert highways.

Cherokee Foothills

Autumn in the Cherokee Foothills of upstate South Carolina is one of the most beautiful scenic drives you can make in the American South. Day trips to the covered bridges, in particular historic Poinsett Bridge, are a must. I love Pumpkin Town for the name alone.

New Orleans

What else can you really say about the Big Easy? I snapped this set pre-Katrina. It's time I found a reason to head back on out to Louisiana.
